DIY DIY Herringbone Dresser
We lately decided to mountain our TV on our fireplace, too spell Jesse industrial plant on that situation, I decided to own got a piddling fun amongst the thrift shop dresser that we've been using every bit our media console for the yesteryear 2 years.
Using merely a piddling fleck of pigment too to a greater extent than or less painter's tape, I created my ain piddling version of a herringbone dresser.

In illustration yous never saw the master copy makeover of this dresser, here's a piddling dorsum story. Two years ago, I institute this at a thrift shop for $20.
It was broken inwards merely almost every agency possible, too was missing all of its hardware. And every bit a bonus, a piddling man child (apparently named Kevin) had carved his advert into it almost 10 times.
Thanks, Kevin.
It was 1 of the worst pieces of slice of furniture I had ever brought home, but for to a greater extent than or less argue I was non deterred. So, I spent a lot of fourth dimension sanding, priming, painting, too stenciling it, too ultimately I created a pretty decent media console. It was null special, but it did the task for nearly 2 years.

This fourth dimension around, I decided to practise something a piddling different. First things first, I had to touching on it upwards because my aggressive vacuuming skills had actually done a discover on this piteous thing. So, I painted the entire matter a actually lite shade of blue.
Once the entire dresser was painted a lite blue, I created the herringbone blueprint amongst tape.
What you'll need:
paintbrush or minor roller
paint
I took the drawers out of the dresser too stacked them upwards adjacent to each other on the flooring inwards the right order. Then, I created the below blueprint amongst my tape. This took a piddling fourth dimension too to a greater extent than or less lawsuit too error, but actually wasn't hard at all. I merely used 2 long vertical pieces too a bunch of brusk pieces inwards the center. I used a utility knife to cutting the record when it overlapped over 2 dissimilar drawers, too merely wrapped the ends of the record over the border of the drawer.
Once the record was arranged inwards the herringbone pattern, I ran my finger along all of the edges to brand certain the record was firmly inwards place. Then, I painted over the record amongst my paint. I decided to create an ombre final result yesteryear dipping my paintbrush inwards to a greater extent than or less white pigment too lightening upwards the pigment towards the top.
While the pigment was nonetheless wet, I removed all of the tape.
I don't know why, but this business office of the projection is e'er the most fun.

I allow that business office completely dry, too and thence I created the final part. I wanted a minor business on the exterior of the blueprint inwards a lighter color, thence I taped that upwards separately.
And last, but non least, I reattached my hardware afterward spray paradigm it gold.
And that's how I made my herringbone dresser!
Take that, Kevin.
I own got no persuasion where this piddling creation is going inwards my theatre yet. For now, I merely styled it upwards to accept a few pretty pictures thence that I could part it amongst you.
So, don't worry. The stone wall mirror will live returned to its rightful domicile shortly enough. :)
And that's all for today, sugariness friends. Thanks thence much for stopping by!
